Contests!
CALLING ALL VISUAL ARTISTS!!!
Bedlamites, we are holding our very first visual art
contest!
There are two simple stipulations:
1) Must be visual art. Any medium is acceptable.
2) Must contain our logo in some way, shape or form.
(We probably won't
be upset if you have your way with it a little.)
Our goal is to put together a calendar featuring the best of these
pieces by the end of the year, so essentially there will be 12 winners!
There will be an extra-special prize for our First Place winner, which
we will announce once we decide what it will be.
Send a large, print-quality scan in any image format to
bedlampublishing@hotmail.com, or let us know if you'd prefer to give us the actual piece and let
us handle its transition into the digital world.
We'll give you until Thanksgiving
(Thursday, November 25th, 2010) to get them in, so that leaves
plenty of time to start on it, get frustrated, procrastinate, start
over, go back to the original, procrastinate some more, then have a
burst of inspiration and finish in the few days leading up to the
deadline. If you're anything like us, that is.
As always, any submitted work will remain the property of you, the
artist... even though it will contain our logo.
Any questions can be directed to this email address -
bedlampublishing@hotmail.com
Not a visual artist? I bet you know one...
Looking forward to the results!
Monthly Rag Fiction Contest
In celebration of our new monthly magazine, we are
offering you an exclusive chance to be a featured writer!
All you need to do is write an original piece of short fiction and
submit it with the heading “Rag Fiction Contest” to:
bedlampublishing@hotmail.com
or the convenient submission form located right here on our website.
First place winners will be printed in the next issue of The Rag,
and runners up will have their work featured here at bedlampublishing.com!
Submissions in by the 10th of the month will be
accepted for competition in the following issue.
Any genre, style, topic, and
format will be considered, as long as it is short fiction (preferably
less than 3,000 words).
As has always been the case with Bedlam, all rights to submitted works
remain exclusive to the artist.
First and foremost, we exist to help get
your name out into the world.
